What This Means

I didn't realize why I heard this name before- "A Man Of Science, A Man Of Faith"- but it is actually the title of an episode of the series Lost. In any case, in some time when I release a demo CD, it will be the name of my project. Why the name? Simple, really.

I've always felt that I could be a man of science and faith. I don't know why, but it wasn't until recently that I realized you couldn't believe in evolution and creationism. I didn't understand why God couldn't have made all of the animals and then also helped them to evolve. I don't know. I guess I never really thought about it that much. But then when I thought about it, it just seemed like you had to be on one side. And I didn't want to be on one side.

Science is science. It's pretty much fact and proven. But faith is quite an opposite from it. I don't want to subscribe to one philosophy though. I want to be able to believe in both. So I shall. I shall become "A Man Of Science, A Man Of Faith".

I am in the process of writing lyrics for my demo CD. I'm not actually writing songs straight out-- I'm just jotting down what I feel are good lines here and there. Then I just hope they all come together to form something resembling art. That's where the faith part comes in.

I'll update this every once in a while, just to keep you posted on my status of this work in progress.
